OpeSoaps came from a simple desire: to create gentle, natural soap that’s kind to both skin and the planet. As someone with sensitive skin, I found it hard to trust products packed with synthetic fragrances and harsh ingredients. So I started making my very own soap!

Every bar of soap I make is fragrance-free, crafted with natural ingredients, and always free of palm oil. That last part is really important to me. Palm oil production has devastating effects on rainforests and wildlife, so I’ve chosen to leave it out completely. Instead, I use sustainable, skin-nourishing oils that clean gently and feel great to use.

Another ingredient I do not use in soap is essential oil. Essential oil can be great for some uses, but in soap it can be challenging to get the scent to “stick” without using a large, potentially harmful, amount. And even so, it does not leave much scent on the skin after rinsing off. If an essential oil scent is desired, it is best to use a lotion or perfume, not a wash off product where essential oils are wasted and go down the drain.

OpeSoaps is my way of sharing something honest and good - for your skin, and for the earth. Thank you for supporting small-batch, handmade alternatives. I hope you love using the soap as much as I love making soap.
